Nissan Rogue Back Door Won T Open

I have removed the plastic access panel on the interior of the door and tried manually moving the plastic button to the right to read more.

Same thing happened again when i was testing it out and manually stopped the door from closing. A bit ridiculous nissan would allow this to occur. I guess if you manually stop the automatic open close this issue occurs. Recently the hatch back door will not open.
